One of my New Year’s Goals is to lose 40 pounds. I actually started this in October, and my goal then was 50. I’ve lost 10 pounds since then.
I use Fitbit, more specifically the FitBit Zip and the Aria scale. They both sync to my laptop, which then syncs to the app on my phone. I’m a bit of a control freak and super competitive, so I enjoy having a screen on my Fitbit. I also own a Android phone which doesn’t sync directly with the Zip, which makes the screen useful. If you have an iPhone, I would suggest the Force or the Flex.
With my Fitbit system, I walk 10,000 steps a day (about 1,500 at work, 2,000 walking my dog, and the rest on my Wii Fit Plus as I watch TV). I haven’t really changed how I eat. That’s probably why I’ve only lost 10 pounds. I’ll work on eating healthier this year.
